SIX LIVE WEBINAR (SPECIALIZED) APT INSTRUCTION HOURS

This workshop is ONLINE, LIVE, AND MEETS THE SPECIALIZED CONDITIONS SET FORTH BY APT. All trainings are taught by Laura Hutchison, PsyD, LP, RPT-S.

This 6 hour workshop will outline strategies for play therapy treatment planning. It will focus on gathering and using the information from assessments to formulate a treatment plan. We will discuss meaningful interventions to create unique treatment plan for play therapy clients. Time will be given during the workshop to create a treatment plan for a real or mock client and be reviewed within discussion groups.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

• Clearly identify the model of play therapy that is being used for the treatment plan (should be evident through the conceptualization of the client and the strategies used)
• Identify which assessment tools are needed to comprehensively create a play therapy treatment plan.
• Identify the variety of aspects that need to be considered during treatment planning (age, preferences, abilities, stage of treatment, treatment goals).
• Demonstrate the ability to select meaningful interventions for the treatment plan.
• Create and discuss a meaningful treatment plan with peers.
